Matthew attended Concordia University Chicago (River Forest), graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in choral music. During his time at Concordia he was involved with a variety of choral and instrumental performance groups, studied organ with Dr. Steven Wente, with compositional instruction from Jonathan Kohrs. He also studied voice and served as substitute organist for several local congregations. From January 2008 to August 2009,  Matthew served as Parish Musician for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Illinios. Matthew is now Director of Music and Organist at Christ Our Savior Lutherain Church in Livonia, Michigan, where he directs its many vocal and instrumental ensembles, plans worship and oversees the direction of the music program. Matthew has several pieces for voices and organ available through Concordia Publishing House. In 2008, his boys’ choir from St. John, Wheaton presented at Concordia Chicago’s Lectures in Church Music.
